In the Ilocos Sur province of the South East Asian country of Philippines, millions of mysterious insects have been swept away in the middle of a sea. Due to this the clear water of the sea became black. It is being told that the incident happened on March 30 at around seven in the evening. Children playing there first saw these insects on the beach. These insects were blue and brown in color and were splashing about in the shallow waters of a few meters of coastline.
Some of these insects swept along the waves and came to the coast. Uncle Carl Robogio, a child watching insects, said that we do not know where these insects came from but the water pushed them towards the coast. He said, ‘The children who were playing there first discovered the insects and called us to investigate. This is the first time this has happened in our area.
These insects are at least 10 inches long and look like insects with multiple legs. Karl reported that these insects disappeared from the coast after about 3 hours. They do not know where these insects went. He said, “At about 10 o’clock in the night, when we examined the insects, they had gone.” On the other hand, fishermen feared that their livelihood could be in danger due to the arrival of these insects.
Local authorities have sought help from experts in fisheries. “Some local people have caught some of these insects and given them for investigation so that they can be traced,” an official said. The investigation report has not been received by the experts yet. Meanwhile, local people have been advised not to touch these insects as they can be harmful.
