UP Panchayat elections: BJP gets a major blow in Ayodhya-Mathura-Kashi, tough fight with SP

After the defeat in the West Bengal assembly elections, the BJP is getting a tough fight with the Samajwadi Party in UP as well. At the same time, the party has received a major setback in Ayodhya-Mathura-Kashi, which holds a special place in the BJP’s agenda.

According to the trends and declared results so far, SP has won 24 of the 40 seats of Zilla Panchayat member in Ayodhya. With this result, Sapai is looking giddy and is now eyeing the chair of the District Panchayat President. Encouraged by the victory, the candidates are still shying away from speaking, but their tongue is not shying away from their claim.

At the same time, the District Panchayat member in Mathura has a total of 33 seats. Of these, the BSP has emerged as the single largest party with 12 seats, while the BJP has 8 and the RLD has also won eight seats. The SP and three independents have won one. Congress has not been able to open its account.

Apart from this, 14 of the 40 seats in Varanasi have resulted. According to the results and trends, SP was ahead in 10, BJP 7, BSP 4, Apna Dal (S) 3, Bhaspa 2, Apna Dal (Krishna faction) 1 and Congress 1.

By late night on the second day of counting, the State Election Commission released the results of 181 District Panchayat members, 38,317 Gram Pradhans, 55,926 Kshetra Panchayat members and 2,32,612 Gram Panchayat members.
